Stefan Kasper, TÜV-Süd – The European EN 13814 standard lists the inspections that must be performed by amusement park operators and the intervals at which they must take place. The checklist naturally includes regular inspection of all safety -relevant systems and functions, such as testing of brake functions and functional testing of the monitoring sensors that play a central role in the safe operation of today’s amusement rides.
