Y WaasWaterworld recently celebrated its second anniversary in Abu Dhabi. Billed as the world’s most expensive waterpark when it opened in January 2013 (though not by its owners, who have never made the budget public), it recorded more than three million riders on four of its 45 rides, slides and attractions. Quite how that equates to total attendance we’re not sure, but the appeal of this well-appointed park in the desert heat is undeniable.

“Throughout its second year of operations, the park has continued to exceed all of our expectations,” notes YasY WaYa Waterworld general e have witnessed incredible

fictional Austrian inventor when it is relaunched this spring as Maximus’ Blitz Bahn. Maximus Müller is an old acquaintance of the park in Sevenum, The Netherlands, who previously lived in its popular Villa Fiasco Fun House, so the story goes. The new-look bobkart attraction will be integrated into the Austrian themed area now taking shape in and around the Magic Forest hall. Using a lever to control their kart, passengers will start their journey indoors and then speed outside through an al fresco interpretation of the Austrian countryside, reaching speeds of up to 45kmh. The Wiegand ride was formerly known as Woudracer-bobbaan.
