Prominent attraction designer masterplanner and themed entertainment specialist The Goddard Group has revealed details of four large-scale projects for China. Some of these will be familiar to Park World readers, others will be fresh. All sound rather grand and exciting

and operator of gaming and entertainment resort facilities in Asia, selected Gary Goddard Entertainment (a unit of The Goddard Group) for the concept design, masterplanning and architectural design of this new casino resort opening within a matter of months in China’s gaming Mecca of Macau.

We are literally recreating a major international city in its pre -war state, making it a suitable shooting location for a host of motion picture productions. The Goddard Group is currently designing this new theme park resort for Haichang Holdings. The 300,000 sq m marine-themed park, scheduled to open in 2017 alongside Dishu L ake, will become Haichang’s seventh polar destination in China. The project will consist of a marine theme park with 13 exhibition halls, four large “animal-interaction plazas”, 18 rides, parades, four cinemas and a hotel. “ The goal here was to create an attraction that would offer a uniquely different experience than the upcoming Disney park,” explains Goddard. “ W e are looking forward to connecting families with nature and the ocean in ways that will ensure lifetime memories.” Polar Ocean W orld will be a world-class, flagship park,” believes Haichang Holdings CEO , W ang Xuguang. “A
