Fujitsu LIFEBOOK

A complete conversion

The latest dazzling addition to the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK range is a 2-in-1 ultrabook device that has been designed and manufactured with the prime business users in mind – and does not disappoint in any department

F

ujitsu has been building an enviable reputation with its products over the last two years. It has always been regarded as being a safe, dependable choice for

the corporate or public sector, offering high quality build and good reliability. But more recently, it’s added new dimensions to that reputation. It is now seen as a brand that offers high-performance, great feature-sets, smart and stylish designs and excellent overall ROI. Fujitsu is seen as a great choice for any business looking to tick all the boxes and a real contender for any serious business project.

Te new LIFEBOOK T935 will definitively extend and enhance that reputation. Tis convertible laptop with its body made of aluminium and magnesium, is stunning to behold. It is lightweight yet sturdy and with its 13.3 inch IGZO display with WQHD resolution that can be swivelled 180 degrees and folded up to make it into a tablet, it’s visually striking and extremely versatile.

Tough character

At 1.6 kilograms and only 19mm, it is very light and thin for such a powerful convertible. Yet it is – as Fujitsu emphasises – a tough character having been tested to the US military MIL-STD and having a strengthened glass display and spill-resistant keyboard. Te battery will give you in excess of 10 hours, and it has been made modular and easy to swap, so with a spare it can be used for perhaps a couple of days away from mains power.

Te WQHD (wide quad HD) display resolution is higher than you’d get on most laptops at 2560 x 1440 pixels and with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and excellent brightness rating too, the screen is a match for any other business- oriented laptop on the market today. Tere is a choice of Intel Core i5 and i7 ultra low-voltage processors and you

can equip the device with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of SSD.

Corporate buyers will be pleased to know that this LIFEBOOK, like many others, comes with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and a Kensington lock bracket. It is also worth noting that it has a SmartCard reader, fingerprint sensor, can be equipped with OPAL-encrypted drives (SSD included) and Advanced Teft Protection. All of this helps to make it pretty tamper and theft-proof – important features for many customers today. Also important to enterprise buyers is the availability of a port replicator.

Singular success

More general functionality is provided by the integrated digitiser for pen-based input and the smart-looking backlit keyboard. It comes with support for Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac and optional 4G LTE connectivity. Tere is a full-HD camera, and two USB 3.0 ports, one with charging capability, HDMI video output, RJ-45, an audio jack for headphones and microphone and SD slot.

Te LIFEBOOK T935 is a stunningly good business 2-in-1 ultrabook that will really appeal to the corporate and serious business buyer that wants the best of both, the conventional notebook and the tablet form factors. Fujitsu has really upped its game in the mobile PC market over the last two years. With the LIFEBOOK T935 it is applying the success of the uncompromising approach that has fuelled its meteoric rise to the convertible form factor. It is a very competent and complete conversion that we expect to be a singular success.
