AECC 50
50 YEARS OF THE AECC
2015 marks 50 years of chiropractic education from the AECC. Since its beginnings back in 1965 the AECC has educated thousands of undergraduate students with postgraduate numbers increasing yearly.
To mark this anniversary we will hold a number of celebratory events throughout the year.
Plans are already well underway for this September’s reunion which is set to be our biggest yet as we are lucky enough to tie it in with the British Chiropractic Association’s 90 year celebrations. The AECC 50 celebrations will run from Friday 25th – Sunday 27th September 2015 and will include:
• BCA conference events and activities onsite at the AECC, and at the Bournemouth Marriott Hotel, throughout the weekend
• Football at AFC Bournemouth (tbc) – get competitive on the pitch or watch from the comfort of the hospitality suite
• Champagne reception at the AECC for our alumni on the evening of Friday 25th
• Gala dinner and dance at the Bournemouth Pavilion on Saturday 26th for those reuniting and other conference delegates
To further communicate this landmark year a special timeline, depicting the history of the AECC and of the chiropractic profession in the UK, has been installed within the main stairwell. Specially designed for our AECC 50 celebrations with the help of Francis Wilson and the British Society for the History of Chiropractic, the timeline reflects the growth and progression of both the college and the profession from the early days to the present.
AECC 50 is the perfect excuse for our alumni to get together and reminisce, it is also a fantastic opportunity to show our thanks to you all for being fantastic advocates of the chiropractic profession.
