Airport transfer service Taxicode starts working with travel agents

Online UK airport transfer service Taxicode has joined Abta and is giving travel agents the chance to set a mark-up on net fares. Taxicode, whose taxi company partners operate 10,000 taxis and minicabs in more than 400 towns in the UK, gives agents a suggested resale price but leaves them free to charge clients what they want. On average the transfer company said agents should be able to make 25% on fares that are still cheaper than a regular taxi.

Two new hotels set to open in Palm Springs next year
Palm Springs, California, will gain two new hotels in 2015 with the opening of boutique property Arrive and the four-star Hotel Palomar from Kimpton. Arrive, owned by Ezra Callahan, one of the founding employees of Facebook, will feature 32 rooms in the Uptown Design District.
