Welcome to REQ – the new quarterly magazine from the REA

It follows on from the great success of REView, the annual publication that was launched at the House of Commons in April this year. Through the pages of REQ we bring you up to date with the latest news and views from across the renewable energy sector. This includes a round-up of the 2014 British Renewable Energy Awards, held at The Savoy Hotel in London in June. The Awards paid

tribute to the leading UK renewable energy companies helping people and businesses cut costs and carbon. Nowhere is this truer than in renewable heating, the subject of our special focus feature this issue: REheat. This feature tracks all the changes in the policies and the range of technologies and opportunities on offer in green heating. We hope it inspires even more people to join the thousands of homes and businesses that have already made the switch to renewable heating since the launch of the RHI in 2011. Our contributors also scrutinise Government policies for biogas, set out the key criteria for investment in anaerobic digestion projects and provide answers to some of the most complex questions surrounding project development. Their articles are a must-read for anyone considering AD as a waste recycling or energy generation solution for their business. Please do get in touch if you have ideas on what you would
