With Balcas’ established track record in the renewable energy industry and vast technical experience, this service offering was a natural progression for us. We are already playing an important role in assisting the Scotch whisky industry to become more environmentally friendly and achieve carbon reduction targets of 20% by 2020 and 80% by 2050 as set by the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA). ABOUT BALMENACH

Tracing its origins back to 1824, Balmenach is one of the oldest distilleries in Speyside. The distillery was closed in 1993, but was bought in 1998 by Inver House Distillers Group which is owned by ThaiBev, a leading Asian drinks business. The premium

gin brand, Caorunn, is also produced at Balmenach. With such a distinguished background and roster of brands housed within their distillery, Balmenach is now also a forerunner in the movement to ‘green’ drinks production processes.
