Local children attended the opening and
are participating in Emerald’s Waste Warrior initiative which shows schools what happens to their waste food. The Melton Mowbray Pork Pie Company also contributes to the scheme with its by-products.
Edina installed and maintains the MWM TCG 2020V16 which generates 1.56 MWe, enough to power around 2,500 homes. Edina and Emerald Biogas were delighted to
receive the Best Merchant Waste AD Project at ADBA Annual Awards Ceremony 2014. Edina’s joint Managing Director Tony Fenton said, “We are pleased to have been involved with this high quality project and congratulate Emerald Biogas on their enterprise and work with the community”.
