Shotgun Facts 1997 was the last Junior World Champs medalist in Men’s


Trap (Matthew Depudyt)…Ian Rupert is the defending Junior World Champ…Josh Richmond was the Junior World Champ in 2005…US Women have won the last three World Champi- onships in the Junior Trap event including Janessa Beaman in 2010…Dania Vizzi was the Junior World Champs runner- up in 2013…Haley Dunn was the Junior World Champion in 2001 and the Junior World Champs runner-up in 2005. She also has earned four World Champs open team medals… Glenn Eller, Josh Richmond and Jeff Holguin have medaled in every World Championships since 2007 (5) and all but two since 2002. Eller has four World Champs medals including two World titles while Richmond has two including a World title in 2010 while Holguin earned a World Champs silver in 2009. In team competition since 2003, at least one of them has been a part of earning fi ve titles and one bronze medal as well with Eller a part of fi ve of the six, moving his career World Championships medal haul to nine…Vincent Hancock was the 2009 & 2005 World Champion and 2007 World Champs bronze medalist…In Women’s Trap, an Ameri- can hasn’t stood on the podium since Cindy Gentry in 1999, a span of 10 world championships…Kim Rhode has three World Championship individual medals in her career with gold in 2010, bronze in 2011 and double trap silver in 1998. She also claims six World Championship team medals as well…Hancock and Frank Thompson were part of a World Champs team victory in Skeet in 2009 alongside Shawn Du-


lohery. Hancock also has a World Champs team bronze from 2007 and team silver from 2005…Jake Wallace was part of the 2010 Junior Team that earned a silver medal in Trap… Rupert and Christian Wilkoski teamed with Billy Crawford last year to earn the Junior World Team title in Double Trap. Rupert was also a team bronze medalist in 2010…In 2003 and 2005, Richmond earned team bronze medals in Double Trap…Holguin was a Junior World Champs silver medalist in the team event of Double Trap in 1998 and a team bronze medalist in 1997…With a medal in Double Trap, Eller would become the all-time leader with fi ve World Champs medals in this event. Securing a world title in 2013, Eller became the all-time leader in World Champs medals for U.S. Men in shot- gun overtaking Matt Dryke who had three in his career. With another medal, Eller would eclipse the all-time U.S. mark as he’s currently tied with Frances Strodtman. With one more Worlds medal each, Hancock and Kim Rhode would up their career totals to four as well.
