SOCCER@SEA FRANCHISE

Our mission is to put the fun

back into the beautiful game With a mission to put the fun back into the beautiful game, Soccer@Sea organises five-a-side football competitions and training programmes with accredited professional international coaches on board cruise ships, as well as organizing 11-a-side competitions in ports of call against local teams.

The innovative concept combines football skills development and valuable cultural experiences with all-inclusive multi-generational family cruise holidays.

ULTIMATE Founded four years ago by Steve and Karen Everitt, the company, which describes itself as ‘The Ultimate Soccer Camp’, is now franchising its business in the UK.

Steve explains: “I came up with the idea of Soccer@Sea after purchasing a Cruise Planners travel agency franchise in the USA. Soccer@Sea is for players who want to pursue their passion while training and competing in a fun and safe environment, as well as having an unforgettable cultural experience in foreign ports.”

Born and raised in Norwich, Steve has played football all his life. He’s recently returned to England after 27 years in America where, among other things, he owned two scuba diving schools at the famous Breakers Palm Beach Hotel in Florida and the Boca Raton Resort and Club, as well as being a successful property investor.

Karen, who comes from Seattle, Washington, has run her own business, been a food and beverage manager at two five star resorts and was a golf professional in Tucson, Arizona and Port Ludlow, Washington for 15 years.

RECRUIT “Our combined 70 years of customer service experience is reflected in the quality and standard of Soccer@Sea,”

Steve says, who is looking to recruit franchisees who are passionate about football and travel, who are either already football coaches, or as Steve puts it, “Soccer mums” who: “Instead of paying for a football camp and then paying for a holiday, by buying a franchise can make money on the camps instead of paying out, plus they get a free cruise.”

Soccer@Sea is a registered and accredited cruise planner/travel specialist with considerable travel experience and a passion for football. The company works with cruise lines worldwide to ensure quality venues and allowing the company to provide a first class experience for both players and their families.

“Soccer@Sea is a unique soccer business,” Steve says, “and as part of our comprehensive franchise package we attend the franchisee’s first Soccer@Sea cruise to guarantee success and the quality of our programme.”

The franchise costs £9,995. Franchisees can either organise their groups, coaches and programmes for their camps and Soccer@Sea makes all travel arrangements and bookings, or they can organize their groups, leaving Soccer@Sea to do the rest.

EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS Leslie Gimeno-Rosenthal, assistant coach of the Cape Express Bulldogs U14 Girl’s football team, shares her experience of Soccer@Sea:

“The Soccer@Sea trip far exceeded my expectations, both as a coach and parent. Karen and Steve Everitt went out of their way to ensure a good time was had by all and that all the details of both the cruise vacation and soccer camp were taken care of.

“The coaches, John and Gabriel, were fantastic, each bringing their international version of skill, enthusiasm and love of the game to every moment of our camp experience.

“Our U-14 girl’s team had the time of their lives, enjoying the perfect mixture of soccer and family holiday. They spent their days attending training sessions, going to buffets, soaking in the hot tubs, seeing world class entertainment and just simply enjoying each other. The opportunity of playing the girl’s national team in Bermuda was an unparalleled international experience that will not be forgotten by any of us.

“There is a reason that Soccer@Sea calls itself The Ultimate Soccer Camp - it combines the best elements of football and holidays into one seamless package that was thoroughly enjoyed by all 64 of our group members, who were aged 5 to 75.”
