AGENDA A A DAY IN THE L I FE OF ARF E EN KHAN, THE PE AK PERFORMANCE S TRATEGIS T

body and allows your brain to function at its peak. It's a great state changer.

12.30pm - I reach the office. I have already received a report from every staff member of their achievements the day before. This allows me to see who's productive and who isn't. Every staff member has to send me a report at the end of the day. This also keeps me focused on seeing if we are heading towards our companies outcomes. The first department I meet is the sales department. This is the only department that generates revenue, the rest cost money. If sales are not on track, no company will survive.

2pm - We are planning a new system using social media to expand the sales of our books and seminars. This has so far proven to be amazing. We are currently putting together a new referral plan so that we can really take our business to a new level. This is my only current focus. I believe if you have an outcome-driven mind you will think of things that you never would normally. The whole team is outcome-driven, which makes the whole thing easier. I encourage my staff to take time out and spend an hour a day watching videos on how to improve their efficiency.

3pm - By this time I have eaten food every two hours; I eat regularly so my metabolic rate remains high.

Ar feen Khan is a wor ld renowned business coach and publ ic speaker, but he also happens to be our president for . . . We learn more his busy day. . .

8.30am - People say that a person needs eight hours of sleep a night, but I don't believe that at all. If you eat right you will need minimum sleep. Studies have shown that people who sleep five hours live longer. I don't need an alarm to wake me up; I wake up automatically at the right time.

9am - I have my breakfast which is normally a high protein breakfast as carbohydrates make your insulin levels shoot up and give you a temporary high. I sit and write down three things I MUST accomplish during the day, no matter what.

9.30am - I read for 40 mins everyday. I study areas of my life that I need to work on and improve. I’m a huge believer that knowledge is a great tool for empowerment. My work is a mix of coaching only ten people a year one-to-one, and conducting seminars. I plan strategies that will create specific results for my clients. I teach people to be outcome-based as once you know an outcome, the motivation comes automatically. I check all my emails and respond to everyone between 9.30am and 10.45am.

11am - It’s gym time. I participate in a 50 minute spinning class. The target is 20 km or 500 calories. This is the highlight of the day for me it energises me to really get to work. Exercise stimulates your entire

5pm - A lot of time goes into designing new website promotions and new product material. I sit with the design team and evaluate how we can make things better. I allow my staff to use their own creativity and don't penalise them for making mistakes. Mistakes help them become more creative. No risk means no gain.

6pm - I coach a regular client. He is a billionaire in his own right but fascinates me because he has such a thirst for learning. I coach many successful people and have discovered that almost all of them have a huge desire to learn and have open minds. My coaching of others has had a significant effect on my own life and the decisions I make.

8pm - I spend 40 minutes reading or writing. I have a system of a victory log. The victory log is all the victories I won today. I ensure I create ten victories a day. A victory could be anything that I have done, literally anything that has created an impact. I have been doing a victory log for over ten years.

10pm - I watch a movie every day. I love this as a form of relaxation; if I have seminars the schedule changes. I have Skype calls that I conduct for my clients overseas. Ultimately, every day should be defined with outcomes. Your life should not run around your work, it should run around your family. It will help you strike a balance with work and family. It's really important that once a day you take time out and do nothing. It helps your mind. The greatest weapon of success I have is my victory log.
