Fanless embedded box PC based on Intel Baytrail SoC
he BVM Group has introduced the ASRock iBOX- 210, a self-contained small form factor (200 x 135 x 39mm) embedded PC that features very low power consumption, fanless operation and high performance. The iBOX-210 is available with either the E3826, J1900 or N2930 22nm Intel Atom Baytrail System on Chip dual and quad core processors with up to 4GB of DDR3 1333MHz in a single slot. The device supports Linux and Windows 7 and 8 OS. The highly integrated Baytrail SoC provides a powerful computing engine for applications where high resolution display or image capture is required. It supports VGA or HDMI displays up to 1900 x 1220 @ 60 Hz. The graphics and media engine is based on the Intel Gen7 HD graphic processor, which supports graphics burst, Open GL ES 3.3 and hardware video codec acceleration of multiple media formats. The rugged construction of the aluminium body gives good protection when the unit is embedded in applications such as mobile computing where shock and vibration are likely to be present.

Industrial Interface Signal Conditioning I
Advertorial
ndustrial Interface design and manufacture an innovative but well proven range of signal conditioning and data acquisition modules at their factory in Chelltenham. Amongst the range is the new E-100 Analogue to Ethernet gateway unit. This unit allows virtually any type of sensor or signal to be galvanically isolated and transmitted to any industrial Ethernet, RS232 or RS485 network. A typical system consists of an E-100 with an Ethernet port and a number of ISOSLICE input or output modules linked to the E-100 via a local bus. The field sensors are wired into the ISOSLICE units which are in
turn read by the E-100 gateway via the local bus and the values then stored in Modbus registers on the E-100. ISOSLICE units are available for mA, voltage thermocouple, RTD, load cell and AC current or voltage signals. In total up to 1024 inputs can be linked to the E-100 and stored in Modbus registers. The E-100 has a small in-built LED display which can be used to view the values of any inputs in real engineering units, a great commissioning and trouble –shooting tool. The data stored on the E-100 can also be sent via either a 2G or 3G mobile network using the RAMPORT-DIN device.

New Ti90 and Ti95 Thermal Cameras F
troubleshooting, and HVAC/R technicians, New Probe
luke has expanded the Fluke Connect™ system with the new Ti90 and Ti95 Thermal Cameras with wireless connectivity making them ideal for maintenance,
electricians, and
facility managers who need to collaborate and share measurements with others in their team. The Fluke® Ti90 and Ti95 Thermal Cameras feature a spatial resolution of 5.6mRad allowing technicians to conduct infrared inspections from a safer distance without compromising accuracy. The 3.5-inch colour LCD screen is up to 32% larger than other competitive models, with adjustable brightness for easy viewing in most conditions. The thermal cameras come with an extensive SD memory system, including a removable 8GB SD memory card or 8GB wireless SD Card (where available), allowing technicians who share
cameras to simply swap SD cards at the end of their shift instead of needing to download images onto their PC before turning the camera over to the next technician. For easier identification and reporting of problems the Ti95 features Fluke IR-Fusion® technology with Picture-in-Picture mode, while full visible is available on both cameras for easier identification and reporting of problems.

Litre Meter introduces automated online documentation
L
itre Meter has introduced a new electronic documentation system which uses a combination of QR codes and mobile technology to deliver quick access to flowmeter information on the fly. The QR, or quick response, code is a machine-readable optical label that uses numeric, alphanumeric, byte/binary and kanji encoding modes that contains information about the item to which it is attached. Because the codes have greater storage capacity than a standard barcode they are ideal for product tracking, item identification, time tracking and document management. Details of each meter which the company supplies as part of a single project – for example, all the meters supplied for a particular chemical injection skid – will be held at a unique URL. The website will include al the relevant documentation for each meter including calibration certificates, PMI certificates and material certificates as well as specifications, manuals and instructions. The address of the website is printed on a chemical-resistant and wear-resistant label securely attached to each meter. The label also carries a QR code linking to the website which will make it easy for service personnel on site to call up all the documentation on a smart phone by simply pointing it at the label.

headphone, loudspeaker and musical instrument manufacturers to make measurements in small, confined and difficult-to- access areas that cannot be accessed using traditional microphones, which are typically larger. The small size of the probe tip also allows near field measurements with minimal disturbance of the sound field. This enables more accurate test results. The probe microphone (Model 377B26) comprises four components: microphone, preamplifier, housing and several probe tips of different lengths. The components work together to provide a maximum operating temperature of 800°C, much greater than traditional test & measurement microphones. The high temperature capability and small diameter make it an excellent choice for HVAC manufacturers and test engineers performing leak detection tests at elevated temperatures.
