In response to customer demands, the RiCase table-top and system enclosures family from the Electronics division of HEITEC can now be adapted to the customer’s corporate design. While the chassis itself is not varnished
in colour, the colour adoption shows in the finishing of the aluminium corner caps and the plastic decorative elements, all of which can be produced in all available RAL colours. Furthermore, additional parts such as tower bases can also be adjusted in the respective colour coding. In addition to this, standard RiCases are
still available in the RAL deco colours turquoise blue, light blue and stone grey. According to the company, the colour
adjustments are appropriate for test systems, test and measurement instruments, as well as laboratory housings and applications that need to be colour- coordinated with their surroundings.

A compact fan speed control sensor has been introduced for Rittal’s TopTherm fan-and-filter units. Compatible with the larger models in the range of electronically commutated (EC) TopTherm fan-and-filter units, this automatically adjusts the fan speed in response to changes in temperature inside the enclosure. This is a solution to the
problem of fan-and-filter units running continuously even when not required, as the panel temperature is already at an acceptable level. The sensor will help to reduce energy
consumption and therefore running costs. With a fixed setpoint of 35˚C, the device provides continuous

filter units with EC motors from Rittal accept a 0 to 10V DC or PWM control signal and can be controlled using a programmable logic controller (PLC). A tachometer signal output to monitor fan speed and operating conditions is included, to alert users immediately should any faults or failures occur.

A new range of robust diecast aluminium enclosures has been launched by ROLEC for industrial control applications. The commandCASE enclosures feature IP66 protection, enabling their use in marine and offshore applications, and can be mounted on suspension arms, machine housings, walls and bulkheads. These feature wing-shaped handles so they can be manoeuvred easily when fitted to suspension arms, and the lid has a large 1.7mm deep recess for mounting a membrane keypad or product label. There are three versions available, with six sizes in each ranging from 230 x 200 x 120mm to 430 x 300 x 120mm. The standard version has a hinged lid with snap closures (with or without an optional key lock). Version I has a hinged lid secured from the rear on the unhinged side by two stainless steel screws. Version II has an unhinged lid secured by four stainless steel screws. In addition, the chloroprene lid gasket is designed for temperatures ranging from -30˚C to +90˚C, with the
range increased to -50˚C to +140˚C with the optional silicon gasket. ROLEC
