HEATHROW TERMINAL 2

THE WAY TO FLY THROUGH LONDON WITH STAR ALLIANCE

London Heathrow’s brand new Terminal 2 | The Queen's Terminal is now open and Star Alliance's 23 airline members are in the process of moving their operations into the state-of-the-art facility

June marked a new era for London Heathrow Airport and Star Alliance as the first flights touched down and took off from the stunning new Terminal 2. Founder member United was the first airline to move its operations into the terminal, with a flight from Chicago touching down early in the morning of June 4th. Her Majesty The Queen officially opened Terminal 2 on June 23rd, by which time Air Canada, Air China and ANA had all successfully and smoothly moved their operations into Terminal 2. “It is terrific to see this new terminal

coming to life as our Heathrow home,” says Star Alliance CEO, Mark Schwab. “We are honoured that Her Majesty the Queen has lent her name to this fantastic new facility

which will deliver an excellent service to Star Alliance customers at this major hub.” Aegean Airlines, Avianca, EVA Air, THAI

and Turkish Airlines will move into T2 in July, followed by the remaining Star Alliance members in September and October. With all its members under one roof, the

new home of Star Alliance at Heathrow will save passengers time with efficient check- in and security facilities and 60-minute flight connections. It will also provide an altogether more enjoyable passenger experience, with impressive facilities and an unrivalled selection of restaurants and retail outlets. Together, the 23 Star Alliance airlines

moving into Terminal 2 operate over 120 flights per day from London Heathrow to 43 destinations in 25 countries.
