Product News 39 FM approval for insulation materials
THE Armaflex Ultima range of low- smoke elastomeric insulation materials has been tested and is now certified by FM Approvals, a division of FM Global. The leading industrial property insurer confirms that Armaflex Ultima products meet the highest national and
international requirements for applications on construction projects. The FM Approvals certificate applies to the complete range of both standard and self-adhesive Armaflex Ultima sheet and tube products, which provide maximum installation safety and ensure optimum operating efficiency. The closed cell construction of these insulation materials combines low thermal conductivity with high resistance to water vapour transmission, ensuring long-term protection against thermal energy losses and condensation.
In the event of a fire Armaflex Ultima generates less smoke than traditional elastomeric products and is listed in the FM Approval Guide

EcoMESH concept is based on
intermittently spraying
water onto a mesh placed in front of the heat reduction surface.
This reduces power consumption by as much as 30%-40% and improves the performance of air cooled chillers, dry coolers and condensers and refrigeration plants.
EcoMESH is a mesh and water spray system that improves performance, reduces energy consumption, eliminates high ambient problems, is virtually maintenance free and can payback in one cooling season, the company says. EcoMESH
LG targets style conscious consumers
THE latest addition to LG’s Artcool range is the LED lighting, three-way soft air flow (heating and cooling) Stylist Inverter V indoor unit. (Model ref: G09/G12WL 2.5kW – 3.5kW). It has already received a 2014 iF Design Award and combines
technological sophistication and functionality with a modern sleek look to create a stylish and comfortably air conditioned environment. LG’s advanced inverter technology ensures the premium model provides effective, near-silent operation as well as significant energy savings over non-inverter models. The units offer an imaginative alternative to conventional white or fawn coloured wall mounts. At just 121mm deep the unit doesn’t intrude on living space. It also features a ring of LED lighting and the colour can be adjusted. The new three-way ‘Soft Airflow’ feature distributes air evenly to the left and the right of the room and towards the floor simultaneously. An advanced remote control with touch screen allows the user to adjust the settings. The unit can operate at a low 19dB while consuming less energy than a conventional, non-inverter air conditioner. Shirt sponsorship deal announced
MITSUBISHI Electric has announced a new sponsorship deal with Ebbsfleet United which will see the Conference South team wear the famous three diamond logo on their shirts next season.
The club narrowly missed out on promotion this season in a play-off
final and is looking to come back stronger and win automatic promotion to the Conference Premier.
The announcement of Mitsubishi Electric as a principal sponsor will help the club push on with an even better campaign when the next season starts. Mitsubishi Electric has decided to sponsor ‘The Fleet’, who plays their home matches at Stonebridge Road because of the family-run atmosphere of the growing club. Steve Fleming of Mitsubishi Electric said: “We are really pleased to have been given the opportunity to support a club with such a great ethos which fits with the approach we adopt at Mitsubishi Electric.
