China Links Travel to offer specialist and niche tours Juliet Dennis
China Links Travel is to broaden its portfolio with more specialist tours following the appointment of a general manager. The operator plans to offer sports tours to the Japanese and Chinese Grand Prix races next year, which will include tickets, flights, accommodation and the option to add a destination tour. New general manager David
Higgins, previously director of Tui-owned Sport Abroad, said the company’s destination knowledge would set it apart from rival sports operators.
He added: “We can combine
tailor-made itineraries with Formula 1 packages.”
Grand UK Holidays adds 30 new breaks for winter programme

Motts Travel rebrands and eyes more sales for Crusader Holidays
Coach operator Motts Travel has undergone a brand restructure with Crusader Holidays as its main coach tours brand. The Aylesbury-based operator will run Crusader Holidays as its leisure coach tours business alongside Motts Travel, which will focus solely on coach hire, corporate business and contracting. Motts Holidays, is being
rebranded Motts Leisure and will continue to offer day trips to local markets in Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Oxford and Hertfordshire. Roger Mott, director of Motts
Travel and Crusader Holidays, said: “This has allowed us to split the company in two with Motts Travel offering coach hire and contracts, and Crusader Holidays offering holidays and bespoke group travel.” He hopes the increased focus on Crusader Holidays will boost sales.
