CRUISE NEWS YOU CAN USE
Fred Olsen’s Enjoyment Promise is a runaway success Hollie-Rae Merrick
Fred Olsen Cruises is urging agents to encourage customers to take advantage of its Enjoyment Promise.
The cruise line introduced the
promise during the wave booking period to allow its new-to-cruise customers to get a refund and a return flight home if they decided they didn’t like the cruise. The promise remained in place after the line saw a 45% increase in new-to-cruise customers during the wave period.
Nathan Philpot, sales and marketing director, said the promise
We have had thousands of people travel under the Enjoyment Promise and not one person has taken us up on it and asked to return home
should be used to entice those who normally book land-based holidays into considering a cruise. Describing the promise as a “no risk solution” to those who are initially unsure about cruise, Philpot said so far thousands of customers had travelled
under the Enjoyment Promise. “This helps to dispel the myths people have about cruising because it gives them a chance to see what we are all about,” he said. “We have had thousands of people travel under the Enjoyment Promise and not one person has taken us up on it and asked to return home. “Agents need to use this to their advantage because it builds confidence. Even if that agent has never sold a Fred cruise before, we are putting ourselves out there and saying we’re sure our product is that good.”
