I think this is also true of our country: South Africa is a political miracle. But our school-going generation of kids are not taught how to work effectively within a modern democracy. Tey are simply not told that the power and the money lie, both, in their own hands. I believe that teaching a generation this can make a significant difference to any country, especially South Africa.


Most important of all, enjoy what you discover in this book. We, as the people of South Africa, are in a unique position of witnessing the birth of a nation, and the struggle for a balance between those that have and those who do not. In a sense the struggle has only just begun. You will be a part of it; and it is my hope that this book, which is dedicated to you, will assist you as a citizen, a voter, and most important of all, as a taxpayer in this struggle.
