Planes of WRAM 2014

First place in Post WWI Military went to Vic Macaluso for the excellent job he did with his kit-built FW-190 A8 (above). He built it from a short kit and added a good bit of scale detail like the cowl louvres (at right, above) and the scale bombs and bomb racks (at right). At 92-inch span it needs a Zenoah GT80 engine for power. He painted the airframe with a combination of latex and polyurethane paint. He also installed a complete scale cockpit. Finished weight of the plane is 36 pounds.

Tiago Carvalho entered this large Huey in civilian colors (above left) which needs a Zenoah gas engine while his somewhat smaller Agusta Raptor(above right) uses an O.S. .91 glow engine. At 108 inches Mike Fusco’s big Cessna

195 (below left) is electric powered and uses an Easytiger 100 motor. Ken Karpinski has good reason to call this the Franken Trainer (below right). He cobbled it together from trashed pieces. This is the plane’s sixth rebuild.
