Thermic by Ken Bagdon Ken Bagdon writes in this
month to show off his newly completed powered Thermic sailplane model. Ken writes, “About the time the article came out on the Thermic 50X in the September 2013 FM, I had completed the conversion of my own original Thermic model. Attached is an image of the model.” Ken says he installed a 10-gram brushless outrunner motor spinning a 4.5x4.5 prop, 12-amp speed control and two micro servos. Ken’s Thermic is motivated with a 2S 500 mAh LiPo battery for help in catching thermals.

This sport scale Great Planes Ju-87 Stuka is the latest project from FLYINGMODEL’s former columnist and current contributor, Larry Kruse. The plane spans a nominal 70 inches and is powered by a Saito .82 four-stroke engine spinning a 13x6 pitch prop.
