News 9 LU-VE wins with Dean & Wood
National refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler Dean & Wood has awarded LU-VE the 2013 Mark Gardner Supplier of the Year Award at a recent supplier event. John Billson, managing director of Dean & Wood, said: “A set criteria is used in selecting the winner. I was pleased to see that the winner is a relatively
newcomer to the D&W supply chain.
“It shows that a joint vision can be achieved with commitment and passion from both parties.”
Steve Taliadoros, general manager of LU-VE agreed and spoke of the strong partnership with tangible results built in a such short time.
Six Nations a win for trio
THE BIG £100,000 top prize may have remained unclaimed, but three Toshiba customers struck it lucky in the manufacturer’s recent Six Nations Challenge competition.
The challenge was to predict the outcomes of the games in the prestigious tournament. The three winners were:
Tony Murphy, of Semple & McKillop, won the first prize of two tickets to a 2015 Rugby World Cup game, including hotel accommodation; Adrian Montague, of Mott MacDonald, won the second prize of two tickets to an England Autumn International game at Twickenham in 2014. Graeme Fox, of Specialist Mechanical Services, took the third prize of a Toshiba tablet computer.

competition. Congratulations also to Ireland on a successful and exhilarating campaign. To finish on the same points as England, and then win by the slenderest of margins on points difference, provided a thrilling end to the tournament.”
He added: “If only there had been a Frenchman who could kick a ball through the sticks, it could all have been so different. But at least there was some consolation for England in winning the Triple Crown.”
