Service and Maintenance 35 Flashlight finds refrigerant leaks fast

SPECTRONICS HAS introduced the Spectroline Opti-Lux 400 – a powerful, rechargeable, violet light LED leak detection flashlight. It emits less visible light than standard blue light inspection lamps, so refrigerant leaks are easier to spot. This saves valuable diagnostic time and money.

The Opti-Lux 400 features a high- output, violet light LED that causes dyes to fluoresce more brilliantly and with greater contrast. It has power comparable to high-intensity 150-watt lamps and works with all popular universal/POE dyes. The Opti-Lux 400 is extremely compact and lightweight, allowing it to get into tight, cramped areas that larger lamps are unable to reach. Its inspection range is 25 feet or more. A rugged, corrosion- resistant, anodised lamp body stands up to years of heavy use.

Powered by one rechargeable lithium- ion battery, it provides four hours of continuous inspection between charges. The unit has a 100,000-hour LED service life.

The flashlight comes complete with a lanyard, rechargeable battery, charging cradle, AC and DC cord sets and fluorescence-enhancing glasses.
