Continued from page 46 Students Take Stage in Launchpad
Launchpad 2014 is off and running with judges for the first round listening to each and every submission. Every group receives feedback from this first round that encourages musical growth and develop- ment and prepares groups for the next step. The three judges were extremely impressed with the level of musicianship and creativity exhibited by each group. From this initial round, 60 groups were then chosen for the four regional competi- tions throughout Wisconsin.

As an extension of partnerships with Launchpad sponsors, Yamaha will pro- vide an equipment package to the school music program of the winning Launchpad group. Broadjam (
www.broadjam.com) will continue an online voting process to select a “wild card” group to perform in the Launchpad state finals competition. We thank both Yamaha and Broadjam for their continued support of this educational program.
