two shuffleboard courts, a horseshoe pit, two bocce ball courts, picnic shelters, a playground and Floral Clubhouse, which accommodates up to 35 people.
Located on Dogwood Drive between 6th and 7th
Avenue South, the picturesque Martin Field has one lighted baseball/softball field, a picnic shelter, and restroom facilities. Martin Field is where most athletic practices are held for the Town of Surfside Beach.
One of the newer Town parks is Passive Park,
located on the corner of Surfside Drive and Willow Drive. Passive Park is covered with beautiful Oak trees, contains a variety of senior exercise kiosks, and provides a peaceful area to picnic or view the Veterans Memorial fountain.
T.J. “Bill” Harrison Memorial Park, formerly
Poplar Park, is located on the corner of Surfside Drive and Poplar Drive. It was recently renamed in honor of the town’s first mayor and will soon fea- ture a bronze relief of him. It currently features a large, lighted metal sculpture.
Huckabee Recreational Complex is just off
Glenn Bay’s Road on Spanish Oak Drive and con- sists of three lighted baseball fields, one football field and a tot lot. While not located within the town limits, this modern complex is host to both youth and adult programs for the Town of Surfside Beach
Surfside Beach Skateboard Park is located next to the fire department.
