TAKE A WALK IN THE PARKS OF Surfside Beach
The Town of Surfside Beach proudly calls itself “The Family Beach” and with nine parks and recreational facilities, it definitely lives up to the name. The mild climate allows people to enjoy the wonders in nature as well as the pleasure of sports and fitness all year.
All Children’s Park is located on the corner of 10th Avenue South and Hollywood Drive. This in- novative playground is designed and equipped for both able-bodied and disabled children and has set a nationwide example. All Children’s Park fea- tures “standard” equipment modified to suit the needs of handicapped youngsters, without sepa- rating them from their peers. The equipment in- cludes a slide with a tiered ramp along the side,

mesh net swings, and an elevated tic-tac-toe board and sandbox. The park also has a picnic area, and restroom facilities.
Fuller Park is located on the corner of Surfside
Drive and Myrtle Drive. Fuller Park is an ideal fam- ily destination, with two lighted tennis courts, two basketball courts, a playground and a picnic area with restroom facilities.
The Bark Park is located on Pine Drive next to
the library. If you are a dog owner, this is a great place to come and play or just relax in the shade with your dog. There are two areas, one for small dogs and another for large dogs.
Martin Park is located on Lakeside Drive and 8th Avenue South. This waterfront park contains
