Storage demand rises for education sector Synology expects 50 per cent growth in the public sector in 2014 with its range of NAS products

THERE HAS been a massive increase in demand for NAS products within schools, storage vendor Synology has told PCR. The firm said it is seeing
an increase in demand for devices with the ability to share across multiple users but still offering security and encryption, particularly in the education sector. “A NAS today is much
more than data storage. It can not only keep your data secure but also make the right files interactive and accessible to those with permission. Price levels are also very competitive, which is crucial to a schools
