Fall protection from Eurosafe Solutions C
ontractors and staff carrying out re-roofing work on the £850 million redevelopment of Reading Station were given extra peace of mind with Eurosafe Solutions’ fall protection solution. The systems were installed to provide safe access
for workers building a passenger walkway above the platforms. Eurosafe Solutions installed them above fall hazard zones, which included gaps between the pre- made cassettes on the roof. John Boyle, director of Eurosafe Solutions, said:
‘We are pleased to report that there were no incidents during the construction of the site and the fall protection systems will further enhance safety for those carrying out maintenance work in the future.’ Eurosafe Solutions provided training to installers
in the safe use of the systems, which included creating a considered response in emergency rescue and evacuation situations. Boyle added: ‘Training of site staff is essential to ensure that everyone is competent and therefore fully protected. Our training reduces the risk of a fall occurring and ensures that those who will be working at height know how to avoid falling and how to
