Hilton Liverpool Hosts Annual Star Ball Hilton Hotel, Liverpool One, hosted their fourth annual Star Ball on Saturday 9th November to support the Hilton in the Community Foundation as well as the Steven Gerrard Foundation. Te glamorous Ball, themed by Big Event Group, was jointly hosted by Radio City Breakfast Presenter Simon Ross and BBC Radio Merseyside Presenter and comedian, Willy Miller. Guest were welcomed with a Champagne Reception and canapés, followed by a sumptuous four course dinner. Celebrity guests supporting the Ball included Steven and Alex Gerrard, actresses Sheree Murphy and Charley Webb, actor Andrew Lancel, Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle and British Super Middleweight Champion Boxer Paul Smith. Entertainment included performances from Alan Cross and Claire Pritchard, before Marcus Collins and his band filled the dance floor with a party set. Te event raised over £25,000 for the nominated charities with some amazing auction prizes including four nights at the Waldorf Astoria in New York with £1,000 flight voucher, five nights at the Hilton Resort and Spa in Mauritius with £1,000 flight voucher, Boodles Blossom Pendant and chauffeur driven transport for a Jeremy Kyle experience. Hilton Liverpool General Manager, Marcus Magee, said: “I am delighted that the fourth Hilton Liverpool Star Ball has raised much needed funds to support disadvantaged children and young people. I would also like to sincerely thank our team at the Hilton, the sponsors, those who have donated prizes and bid for prizes and most of all those who came along to support our Ball”.


The House Beauty Spa Book Club At Gusto Kate Adie tells the story of the First World War years through the eyes of women, and unearths in the telling, fascinating and eye-watering detail of just how hard was the up- hill struggle for admission into the world of men. Kate Adie became the BBC`s chief news correspondent in 1989, and has reported from war zones around the world. She has won numerous awards including three Royal Television Society awards, the Bafta Richard Dimbleby Award, and the Broadcasting Press Guild`s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Broadcasting. Proceeds from the event, including a raffle, are kindly supporting Variety, the children’s charity.
