capital Malé we were met by the W team, who dealt with our luggage as we were whisked to the private W lounge. Following our 25 minute transfer we were greeted by the entire resort staff on arrival, with cold towels and a refreshing drink, before being transported in a state-of-the-art golf buggy to show us the lay of the land.
Our room was split over two levels, with a seating area overlooking the private plunge pool and a circular day bed set in a secluded private garden. Te room boasts its fair share of technological amenities and there are even outdoor speakers connected to the room’s sound system. Te spacious bathroom had an open garden feel, with rain shower and free standing feature bath, with the range of Bliss products chosen by W Retreats. All settled in we surveyed the resort. Te
resort’s Away Spa is built over the azure lagoon with white sail-like pavilion roofs and couple’s treatment rooms. Te spa menu has a good variety of luxury treatments available, using local coconut oils and natural products. Te entire resort is spacious and beautifully manicured. Water villa retreats overlook the lagoon and the Indian Ocean beyond, while the larger retreats come with two bedrooms and glass feature flooring.
