With Christmas shopping on our agenda, we fit in one last trip to London before the festive season, with a stay at Wyndham Grand Harbour in Chelsea

ituated around 25 minutes from Euston Station, what immediately strikes you about the Wyndham Grand Harbour is its impressive
Tames view, offering a different aspect than many of the capital’s inner city hotels. For Chelsea fans the hotel is around 10 minutes from Stamford Bridge and during our visit, the evening before a big game, there were a few famous faces about.
Te Wyndham is set overlooking Chelsea Harbour and next to the Design Centre, so the immediate vicinity of the hotel is surrounded by unique, trendy and funky interior boutique stores. Te Wyndham Grand boasts 154 suites and four individually designed penthouses, including a Vivienne Westwood styled penthouse, with each offering a balcony, lounge, separate WC, double king-size bed and en-suite. Tis is truly your own luxury apartment in the city. Tere are three choices of suite, with the Chelsea suite looking out to Chelsea, the marina suites over floors one to five with balconies over the marina harbour and floors five and above over the river. We had been checked into the latter and would highly recommend these suites for the views alone. It was a real welcome change from our other visits to London, where your views are restricted by high rise buildings. Here we could see as far as the London Eye. Te sight of the

Albert Bridge lit up was a refreshing one. With the sun shining it was a pleasure to sit on the balcony, looking over London while sipping a glass of Champagne.
