THE ALLIANCE between Laing O’Rourke and Imtech has been very busy delivering the projects over the past year. The major extensions to Thames Water’s Crossness and Beckton sewage treatment works have been particularly busy as the projects enter the final year of construction and commissioning.


The alliance is tendering for major schemes at Deephams Sewage Treatment Works for Thames Water and Davyhulme WwTW for United Utilities. It has also bid Thames Water AMP6 Alliance, and the United Utilities AMP6 Construction delivery partners framework. The alliance

MGJV IS a 50-50 joint venture between Morrison Utility Services and Galliford Try. It’s sole aim is to deliver Thames Water’s AMP5 programme. For Thames Water, the JV is undertaking water and wastewater networks capital works that entails renewals, rehabilitation, upgrade or enhancement across south London and adjacent areas. The alliance was formed to provide the combined skills of engineering, programming and innovation to deliver every aspect of Thames Water’s water and wastewater network investment needs.


The joint venture is one of several that the water company has tasked with delivering its £1.2B programme to improve and maintain its ageing network of water pipes, sewers and other facilities between now and 2015.
