The new Hall water treatment works in Lincolnshire
GTM HAS specialised in the construction of advanced anaerobic digestions plants such as those built for Anglian Water at Kings Lynn and, last year, for Northumbrian Water at Howdon in Newcastle- upon-Tyne.
This year saw the successful completion of a £10M project for Anglian Water at Elsham, near Brigg, to extend the existing water treatment works for the production of high
grade water to be supplied to industries on the Humber estuary.
The current flagship project for Anglian Water is the construction of a brand new £36M clean water treatment works at Newton-on-Trent in Lincolnshire.
It will use an innovative combination of processes that will enable water from the River Trent to be treated at such a downstream location
for the first time.
The scheme includes a large raw water reservoir and over 12km of pipelines.
GTM is the collaboration between Galliford Try and Imtech Process, which came together at the start of AMP4 to target the Biosolids Special Projects for Anglian Water having successfully worked together in the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water Alliance in AMP3 in the north Wales region.
