SME Speaks 2013 Election Results Are In S
ME recently announced the results of its 2013 Board of Directors and Member Council election. Six international directors and four Member Council representa- tives were elected for the 2014–15 term. The Board of Directors establishes SME’s business policies and strategic direction, while the Member Council formulates recommendations to the board relative to SME membership recruitment, retention and engagement.

ominations are currently being sought for the 2014 SME College of Fellows. To be considered for this recognition, an SME College of Fellows nominee/nomina-
tion must: • Be an SME member in good standing who is recognized by the manufactur- ing community as a contributor to the social, technological and educational aspects of the profession.
• Possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in engineering experience.
• Have at least 20 years of experience in a manufacturing-related area. Time spent in pursuit of a related academic degree may also be included in the 20-year requirement.
• Be nominated by an honorary, fellow, life or member of SME. • Have two additional sponsors submit letters of recommendation/support, detailing why the individual should be elected to the College of Fellows. Additional information is available at
