ABTECH’s annual expo comes as manufacturing continues to experience a renaissance in the United States. While challenges remain, manufacturers in the US added 41,000 jobs over the past year and more than a half million jobs since 2010. In fact, manufacturing employment is

up on a year-over-year basis for the 32nd consecutive month, the longest such streak since 1979. Already North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and fi nishing event, FABTECH expects to attract record crowds this year. More than 35,000 attendees and 1500 exhibitors are expected at the show, which covers more than 550,000 net square feet of fl oor space at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Fiber-Laser Tube Processing LT5 Lasertube is an entry-level automated laser tube cutting system designed to handle small and medium sized tubes. The 1-kW IPG fi ber laser allows effi ciently processing mild steel as well as highly refl ective materials such as aluminum, copper, and brass and reduces hourly operating costs as much as 50% compared with CO2

lasers. The Elect XL all-

electric 12-axis tube bending machine provides productivity, fl exibility and accuracy to the bending of large diameter (up to 150 mm) tube, making it the ideal choice for many demanding automotive, machinery, motorcycle, hydraulic, railway and shipyard applications. The system is a multistack

bender capable of holding up to eight tool sets permitting rapid processing of complex parts and faster changeover. BLM Group USA Ph: 248-560-0080 Web site: www.blmgroupusa.com
