Carbon-Z Cub

PHOTOS: LORI FARBER

The E-flite Carbon-Z Cub showing off its scale looks (above left) on the runway. Notice the crosswind indication from the windsock which is against a line of pine trees! Same crosswind (above right), but this time on approach to landing. Thanks to the AS3X, it was a smooth arrival! No, we didn’t get a new

version of Photoshop! That really is a big boy (below left) likely on its way to Newark International. While seeing a Super Cubin the inverted position (below right) may seem out of place, the Carbon-Z Cubperforms it so well that it is hard to avoid!

On a steep approach with full flaps, the Carbon-Z Cub not only looks scale (above), it performs like the real one too! Adding a slip with full flaps will afford a very steep approach. The Carbon-Z Cubwill slow to a crawl even without flaps (at right) although for landing a much flatter approach is necessary to keep the speed down.
