Test fitting the wing to the fuselage (above left) before adding the leading edge sheeting. The completed airframe (above right) on the paint stand, ready

for finishing. The fuselage is masked (below left) and ready for color. Close up (below right) of the elevator control linkage installation.

sand the sheeting flush with the leading edge spar. Glue the 1⁄8×3⁄8-inch leading edge and the 1⁄4 × 3⁄8-inch trailing edge in place as well as the wing tube socket, aileron servo mounts, and the support blocks on the in- board rib. Finally, install the inboard panel sheeting, the sheeting between the servo

mounting ribs, and the rib cap strips. Rough sand the wing before attaching the wing tip, and the inboard lite plywood end rib cap. Af- ter attaching the wing tips and the end rib cap, finish sand the wing.

With both wing panels built, test fit the wings to the fuselage. Make any final align-

ment adjustments, then permanently epoxy the wing tube sleeve into the fuselage. I used 8–32 thumb screws to secure the wings to the fuselage.

Build the ailerons the same way as the tail feathers except use 3⁄8-inch thick balsa for the framing and 3⁄8 × 1⁄16-inch balsa

The motor is easily accessed through the large front cowl opening (above). Four rare earth magnets (at right) were used to secure the top hatch.
