Benefit Cosmetics launches flagship London boutique.
Benefit Cosmetics has launched its first UK flagship store. This two‐storey boutique is situated in the heart of London’s fashionable West End, Carnaby Street. Together with retail design consultancy Umbrella customers can enjoy a pre‐party party whilst getting ready and experience the Benefit brand and services, as Benefit are now offering full body waxing, tanning and a nail bar as well as a full service blow‐out bar. The blow‐out bar is in partnership with Craig Hubert, five times British hairdressing champion and the nail bar is in partnership with CND Shellac. The lower ground floor has the ‘Pink Champagne Bar’ which is stocked with LVMH’s signature Moet miniatures. They also have Krug Rose at £245 a bottle and you can chose to relax in the beautifully upholstered banquettes or on the Kartell Ghost stools.
The entrance on the ground floor is instantly recognisable as Benefit’s signature style but with a twist; the striped wall decor transitions into floral

wallpaper with an edgy tear detail, which contrasts with the decorative armoire bays housing stock. There are delicate pink Louis XIV‐style vanity tables underneath a collection of moulded ceiling roses in a lighting feature which is the central focal point of this floor. “We are growing up and moving our design concepts forward – we’re still the place to come and have fun with makeup, just in a more sophisticated environment,” said Michelle Panther, Design and Merchandising Manager, Benefit Cosmetics UK and ROI. “We feel like we’ve got the basic formula right and now it’s time to push the envelope. Our aim is to take what we’ve got and layer in the WOW factor.” This whole look works in complete harmony with the ethos of the Benefit brand. It mixes the retro vintage vibe with a modern aesthetic and delivers it in a sophisticated way.
