A Moment with Momentum Instore

Are You Meeting Mobile Expectations?

The fact that the market for smartphones is nearing saturation point might be bad news for mobile phone retailers, but it is actually very good news for the retail industry in general.

Retailers that have invested time and money into making sure customers enjoy a seamless shopping experience across all of their sales channels are set to reap the rewards. The more people with smartphones and mobile devices the larger the potential for securing sales through this channel.

On the other hand those who until now have lagged behind need to start thinking about how they can maximise mobile sales. With the majority of consumers now owning smartphones they will become more frustrated with brands and retailers that do not make it easy for them to, at the very least, shop via their mobile device.

It is time to start thinking ahead to how new technology, such as Google Glass wearable computers, can be utilised to continue to add interest and value to the shopping experience across all channels. With m‐commerce becoming less of a novelty the retail industry needs to find new ways to excite and engage customers.

MORE STORES

Westfield has announced that six new stores will be opening this autumn, including the first UK shopping centre concept store from electric carmaker Tesla Motors and leading fashion and beauty retailers including Cath Kidston, Fat Face, Clarks, Cadenzza and Molton Brown.

The exciting new stores open in Westfield London’s fifth anniversary year. Westfield London has delivered more than 40% growth in retail sales over the past five years and has a moving annual turnover approaching £1bn.

NEW IDENTITY

In September 2013, HL Display (one of the UK’s leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of bespoke point of purchase displays) announced their new identity. We were delighted to pop along to their offices and find out more about the changes. The company hosted a fantastic afternoon for their staff, which included a soft drink and a krispy kreme doughnut for everyone that popped by for an insight into the new identity! The event was a huge success and we are very excited to find out about future HL projects.
