KEC Adds Communication Channel text KECINFO to 99000 and receive alerts

Knowing what’s happening at your cooperative is impor- tant. Therefore, we at Kay Elec- tric Cooperative are constantly looking at ways to communi- cate more effectively with our members. We are pleased to announce to our members that we now have a new text mes- sage and email alert system. KEC members will receive alerts regarding outages, out- age restoration efforts, annual meeting alerts, peak alerts and other general KEC news and

information. HOW IT WORKS

This new system al- lows KEC to publish an email and/or text mes- sage, which is delivered quickly to our signed up members. “This new com- munication tool is a ver- satile messaging system and can be tailored to specific locations, shared KEC CEO Joe Harris. “When our members sign up, the form will ask for your zip code, thus allowing us to select a certain group of our mem- bership.”

HOW TO SIGN UP

Those KEC members that wish to opt-in to our new alert system have two choices. You can either text the words KECINFO to 99000 or go
