gates or panels to round off the cor- ners of a square or rectangular pen. Depending on their past experi-
ences with humans and their tem- perament, the time it takes for them to become calm and highly respon- sive to your requests can vary wide- ly. Soon you should combine this exercise with several others, all of which will work to quiet their fears and produce a calm acceptance of you as their handler. There are several other exercises
