Jo Alice Stout, 82, Seymour, died June 7, 2013. She was born Sept. 20, 1930, at the Stout Ranch in Baylor


County to Lowe L. and Mary Alice Robertson Stout. She attended Miller Creek and Mary’s Creek Schools, graduating from Seymour High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University and taught home economics at Seymour and Archer City High Schools. She is survived by sisters Betty Lynn Stout Styles, Seymour, and Trixie Stout Hold, Gru- ver; brother Jimmy Stout and his wife, Seymour; and several other relatives. Memorials may be made to the Cache Creek Cemetery Association or the Baylor County Museum.


Chance Payne Clifton, 17, died June 21, 2013. He was born in North Richland Hills and attended Birdville


High School. He is survived by his parents Greg and Tina Clifton; sisters Carly Clifton and Emily Vanderpool and her husband; grandmothers Dixie Clifton and Fran- ces Davis-Peck and her husband; and numerous other relatives.


Gordon R. Johnson, Austin, died June 30, 2013. He was born Oct. 2, 1936. He is survived by wife Bar-


bara, sons Kemp Johnson and Neil Johnson (Priscilla Smith) and grandchildren. Johnson served in the U.S. Army, spent 20 years working for the State of Texas and 20 years as executive director of the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas. Memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Program, Riverbend Church, 4214 North Capital of Texas Hwy., Austin, Texas 78746, or your favorite charity.


James Elmer White Jr., 92, died July 6, 2013. He was born Oct. 9, 1920 in Del Rio, to James E. White


and Martha Hamilton. He graduated from Del Rio High School and then attended the University of Texas. Jim raised registered and commercial Herefords on his Pre- sidio and Jeff Davis County ranches and managed the Brite Ranch. He was an active member of the Highland Hereford Breeders Association, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, Texas and Southwestern Cattle Rais- ers Association and the Texas Hereford Association. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Mae “Gene”
