New 2013 Circuit Protection Catalogue from Crabtree

Using a simple plug in connection, the self contained MWS6 unit detects movement via a highly sensitive microwave detector that emits low power microwave signals and measures the reflections as the signals bounce off moving objects. The MWS6 is available in various options; a PRM version (switching detector) which offers manual on/off override via switch input, time delay function and programming via CP’s infrared remote handsets. DD and AD versions (dimming detectors) can offer two channel flexibility, step down illuminance, a burn-in feature for fluorescent tubes, daylight harvesting and manual dimming with IR or switch inputs.

MWS6 – The Versatile Detector C
P Electronic’s MWS6 mid-range microwave presence/absence detector is now available in a surface mounted version.
With its
AGO's 750-852 ECO ETHERNET Controller is ideal for smaller control applications requiring less program and data storage capacity. Versatile and cost effective, it supports applications from fault data determination (process industry) to single-room control (building automation). Power supply is provided via connector integrated into the outer housing. This saves space on the DIN rail and reduces purchasing costs. The 750-852 ECO Controller is programmable in the familiar
CODESYS environment based on IEC 61131. Configuration and diagnostics can be performed via Internet and intranet access to the integrated Web server. It features two ETHERNET interfaces and an integrated switch, simplifying fieldbus wiring in a line topology. An address switch configures the last byte of the IP address and may be used for IP address assignment.

lumbing and heating engineers can this winter give a significant boost to the number of people protected against the dangers of carbon monoxide (CO) in Northern Ireland, thanks to a joint campaign run by Sprue Safety Products and the Gis A Hug Foundation. From October 1st, Sprue will donate one CO alarm to the charity for every 20 FireAngel CO9XT carbon monoxide alarms sold from participating wholesalers in Northern Ireland. “Contractors play a vital role in protecting people by explaining the dangers and ensuring customers take the right action to stay safe, including having working carbon monoxide alarms in the right locations,” said Brian Trueman, Sprue’s area specification manager for Scotland and Ireland. “By doing so this winter, they will help other more vulnerable people stay safe at the same time.”

wenglor acquires MEL Mikroelektronik GmbH
2013, the Munich-based sensor and measuring system expert MEL Mikroelektronik has been part of wenglor sensoric GmbH based in Tettnang, Germany. With around 40 employees, the company brings more than 25 years of experience and know how in the field of optical laser measurement technology and will be able to use their potential to the full through wenglor's global sales network. For wenglor, the acquisition means a strategic expansion of the product portfolio and another addition of new technologies. The family enterprise already expanded its product range in the previous year: In 2012, wenglor acquired the previous Tettnang-based AFM Sensorik GmbH, which will be renamed wenglor fluid GmbH as of September 15, and now markets the new flow sensors in an independent business division under wenglorFluid. wenglor's product portfolio was thus already extended by flow, pressure and temperature sensors in 2012.
