n g New Amouage building combines factory, visitor tour and retail outlet.
For more than five years, JHP have been working on the stunning new visitor centre and factory for Amouage, the leading luxury, niche, perfume House. Owned by the Omani Royal family, the brand is a truly international business with accounts and shops in over 50 countries. JHP’s remit included the centre's architecture, visitor experience, landscaping, and retail design. The new building is now able to increase its production to 20,000 bottles per week and provides a memorable experience for tourists and visitors who can now be educated in all aspects of perfume creation.
Divided into sections, the factory itself is a visitor experience. The shop contains the full collections from the House and offers fragrance for bath and body as well as home and leather goods.
The name Amouage means ‘wave’ which is why they have created the signature‐ curved entrance canopy. As this brand has a distinctive logo this has been replicated in various guises; most obviously as a screen on the roof line and carved into the extremely tall teak entrance doors. If you are travelling to Oman the Amouage Factory is now a 'must visit' experience
