LUXURY AT GATWICK

Gatwick’s south terminal welcomed a mini‐department store from world‐famous retailer Harrods on 1st August. The 6,000 sq ft site is the biggest Harrods offering yet at the airport, dramatically expanding from its current gift shops in the North and South Terminal. The selection of luxury products has been carefully edited and includes many exclusive items only available at the Harrods Airport stores. Harrods’ Director for International and Airports Raj Assanand said: “I am delighted to see another fantastic Harrods Airport store open, following the success of our other sites at Gatwick and Heathrow.”

With a more open and flowing feel including a shelf for tired customers to store their luggage whilst they pay for their purchases, the sleek new store has been designed with the weary traveller in mind. Jeremy Fennell, Managing director for Dixons Travel, said: “This is the store of the future for us. We are focused on delivering a better range and store experience for travel customers, including a focus on portable items, accessories and other flight‐ready products.”
