Dear readers, Hello and welcome to another fabulous summer edition of Waterfront. T is
month we have some serious business matters on our agenda, as Liverpool prepares to host the International Festival for Business next year. Jonathan Kearney speaks to Max Steinberg, Chief Executive of Liverpool Vision, the organisation delivering the event, which is expected to attract 250,000 infl uential visitors to the region next summer and deliver £100m worth of investment to the UK. On the retail side Hayley Leaver visits East London’s ultra modern LN-CC boutique, while British designer Zandra Rhodes comes under the spotlight, as the Fashion and Textile Museum celebrates its 10th anniversary with her Unseen exhibition. We profi le Sebastian Conran’s ICON Concorde sculpture, which was
unveiled at Royal Ascot last month, and Assistant Curator Helen Little discusses the L.S. Lowry exhibition at Tate Britain, which features over 90 works and focuses on the artist’s urban and industrial scenes. Gilly Pickup is in good company as she attends the launch of the Royal
Princess, as HRH the Duchess of Cambridge christens the fl agship of the Princess Cruises’ fl eet. Speaking of setting sail, the Waterfront team this issue bring you a glamorous taste of the Adriatic, as we visit fi ve-star resorts in Croatia and Slovenia along the beautiful Istrian coastline. We also feature beautiful fashion from world-renowned designers, objects of desire, sample the off er at some of the fi nest restaurants in the region and feature the hottest society events.
