][ GIVE AND GO Kyle Harrison

Former Johns Hopkins star and current LXM Pro Tour stalwart wants to fly like Superman

What’s one thing that always puts you in a good mood?

Home-cooked dinners at home. All smiles, every time.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? My grandfather. I’m told by a lot of folks in my family that

we have very similar personalities. He was a general in the Army. I’ve read all kinds of incredible stories about him.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done?

I stay in my lane when it comes to the adventurous activities. No sky diving, bungee jumping, swimming with sharks or cliff jumping. I went whitewater rafting last summer in Vail. Does that count? Also, I’ve been known to take a gamble with movie theater hot dogs; can’t help it.

What did you want to be when you were younger? A fireman!

It’s 2023 — Where are you and what are you doing? West Coast living has been great for the past five years, but I don’t know if I’ve got another 10 years on this coast. You never know where I’ll be settled.

What’s one thing you can’t live without? Competition. In most cases, competition is what drives athletes. Whether

that’s on the field against an opponent, in the business world, in training, ping pong at family gatherings, or just trying to have a more productive day today than you did yesterday, competition, in some capacity, is what makes me go.

Overtime (from Denver attacker Jill Remenapp):

If you could have the starring role in one film already made, which movie would you pick and why? I love all kinds of movies, so this is an awesome question, Jill. I’ll go with “Superman.” Every little boy wants to fly, and every grown man was once a little boy who wanted to fly. So, if I could be 5 feet off the ground, hooked up to cables in front of a green screen to get my fly on? Count me in. Playing Wolverine would be a close second.

Double Overtime (from Ryan Burgess, Atlanta):

If you could design your own stick, with anything on it, what would it have?

I actually just finished designing my most recent stick and the new K18 line releasing this fall. One thing I’ve incorporated into all of my K18 equipment is the turtle. It’s tattooed on my ankle. It’s good luck in my family.
