THE SHELBURNE FALLS TROLLEY MUSEUM, located in the Berkshire Mountains of Mas- sachusetts, is dedicated to preserving and operating Shelburne Falls & Colrain Street Railway trolley car No. 10. This car was built by Wason Manufacturing Co. in Springfield, Mass., in 1896. It was delivered new to Shel- burne Falls and has never left the valley. For 30 years it served its namesake towns, and
for 20 years it crossed the Deerfield River on what is now the famous Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls. Saved by a local farmer, it spent 65 years as a chicken coop, tool shed and play house. No. 10 came to Shelburne Falls in 1896, the year the SF&C was opened. It was con- sidered state-of-the-art at the time, having electric heaters and lights. Wason was noted
