 BROMPTON Sales and marketing director Emerson Roberts is to leave the brand for a fresh opportunity in Colchester. Roberts joined the business in


January 2006 as marketing manager and has since become a board member in 2010, as well as taking an active role in the brand’s sales strategy. Roberts will relinquish his non-executive directorships with


Brompton Dock and Brompton Asia. MD William Butler Adams said: “We’ve grown


exports up to 80 per cent and introduced Brompton Junction stores, which have translated into strong growth. Emerson has been at the heart of the team that has delivered that success and we’ll be sorry to see him go. We wish him all the best.”


 RALEIGH David Moakes has retired from his product director post at Raleigh, having been with the Nottinghamshire firm for a combined total of 30 years. He joined working in the toy


department, working up to concept design manager and his current role. He also worked at Reece Cycles and Falcon Cycles during his career in the industry (page 89, Quote /Unquote).

 PRIVATEER Ross Tricker has joined Gruppo Media Limited, the company now behind Rouleur and Privateer following the MBO. Becoming the commercial manager, Tricker will assume responsibility for advertising sales and wholesale accounts with IBDs. Privateer editor Andy Waterman said: “We’re

 CLIF BAR Kevin Cleary, president and COO of Clif Bar, has been promoted to CEO. He joined Clif Bar in 2004 as exec vice president of sales. In 2006, he was promoted to COO, and in 2009 he became president and COO.


In his new role as CEO, Cleary will focus on expanding Clif Bar’s growth while continuing to lead the company’s day-to-day business.


 VOS MEDIA Matt Letch has joined the London Bike Show organiser as business development manager, leaving his role at mountain bike title Singletrack as ad manager and journalist. Contact him on 07951 601109.
