Lucy was part of a luxury tour operators trip run by the Kyoto Convention Bureau, in partnership with British Airways and JNTO, designed to showcase luxury tourism product. They fl ew to Tokyo Haneda Airport in British Airways’ Club World’s fully-fl at beds, boarded the famous bullet train and travelled on to Kyoto (320 miles) in just 138 minutes. They visited


the most famous temple in the city, Kinkakuji (or Golden Pavillion), took a traditioanl rickshaw ride and saw the Arashiyama district, with its famed bamboo forests.
